Job Description

Global is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Entry-Level Audio Editor / Podcast Producer to join our dynamic and innovative team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with foundational audio editing skills to contribute to high-quality podcast and digital audio content for one of the UK’s biggest media companies. As this is a Work From Home position, you will enjoy the flexibility of a 100% remote role, collaborating with teams across various locations to bring compelling audio narratives to life.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit, mix, and master audio for a variety of podcast series and digital audio content.
- Ensure all audio assets meet Global's high-quality standards and brand guidelines.
- Perform audio clean-up, including noise reduction, equalization, and compression.
- Manage and organize audio project files, ensuring efficient workflows and version control.
- Collaborate closely with producers, content creators, and other team members to understand project vision and delivery requirements.
- Assist in sound design, music selection, and integration to enhance the listening experience.
- Stay current with industry trends, audio editing software, and best practices in podcast production.
- Provide technical support for remote recording sessions as needed.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in at least one professional audio editing software (e.g., Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, Audacity).
- Basic understanding of audio mixing, mastering, and sound design principles.
- Strong attention to detail and a critical ear for sound quality and consistency.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote work environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Reliable internet connection and a dedicated, quiet home workspace suitable for audio production.
- A genuine passion for podcasts and audio content.
Preferred Qualifications
- A degree, diploma, or certificate in Audio Engineering, Media Production, Broadcasting, or a related field.
- Previous experience (personal projects, internships, freelance) with podcast production workflows.
- Familiarity with various audio codecs, file formats, and digital audio workstations.
- Basic knowledge of music copyright and licensing for audio production.
- Experience with remote collaboration tools.
