Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and creative AI Product Design Intern with a strong interest in UX/UI to join our innovative team in Sioux Falls. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in designing user interfaces for AI-driven products, working alongside experienced designers and engineers. You will contribute to real-world projects, focusing on transforming complex AI functionalities into intuitive and engaging user experiences. This role emphasizes mentorship, providing you with guidance and learning opportunities to develop your skills in a fast-paced, cutting-edge environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting user research, including interviews and usability testing, to gather insights for AI product design.
- Contribute to the creation of wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes for AI-powered applications.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers, product managers, and AI engineers to translate project requirements into design solutions.
- Participate in design critiques and incorporate feedback to iterate and improve design concepts.
- Help maintain and evolve design systems to ensure consistency across products.
- Document design decisions and specifications for development teams.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends in AI, UX/UI, and product design.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Interaction Design, HCI, Product Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of UX/UI design principles and methodologies.
- Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
- A portfolio (even if academic or personal projects) demonstrating design aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with user research methods and tools.
- Knowledge of AI/ML concepts and their application in product design.
- Basic understanding of front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Previous internship or project experience in product design or related fields.
