Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Nanny to join our corporate childcare support team in Grand Rapids. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality childcare and supervision for children of our employees within a structured corporate environment. This position involves fostering a safe, engaging, and educational atmosphere, supporting children’s developmental needs, and working collaboratively with parents and other childcare professionals. Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct supervision and care for children of various ages, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational and recreational activities, fostering cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating environment conducive to learning and play.
- Assist children with daily routines, including meals, naps, and hygiene.
- Communicate effectively and regularly with parents regarding their child's daily activities, progress, and any concerns.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety protocols, and childcare regulations.
- Collaborate with other childcare staff and corporate support teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Manage minor conflicts and guide children in positive social interactions.
- Administer basic first aid when necessary and document incidents appropriately.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in childcare, nannying, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of child development stages and age-appropriate activities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with children and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children.
- Ability to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain immediately upon hire).
- Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- Experience working in a corporate childcare facility or a structured group childcare setting.
- Knowledge of various educational philosophies and teaching methods.
- Certification in advanced pediatric first aid or related medical training.
