Job Description
Join our dynamic team as an Event Setup Crew member in Cincinnati! This is a casual, part-time role primarily involving night work, perfect for individuals looking for flexible hours and an opportunity to be part of exciting live events. You’ll be responsible for the physical setup and breakdown of event equipment, ensuring everything is in place for a seamless show. We’re looking for reliable, hardworking individuals who are ready to ‘bump gear’ and contribute to the success of diverse events, from concerts to corporate functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely load, unload, and transport event equipment, including staging, sound systems, lighting rigs, and other production materials.
- Assemble and dismantle temporary structures, seating, and decor according to event specifications and safety guidelines.
- Assist in the cabling and basic technical setup of audio, visual, and lighting equipment under supervision.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment during setup and breakdown.
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all crew members.
- Collaborate effectively with event managers, technical teams, and other crew members.
- Work flexible hours, primarily evenings and nights, based on event schedules.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly.
- Strong work ethic and reliability, especially for night shifts.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic understanding of tools and equipment used in event production (e.g., wrenches, dollies) preferred, but not strictly required.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, construction, or event production setting is a plus.
- Familiarity with various types of staging, rigging, or sound equipment.
- Comfortable working at heights (e.g., on lifts or scaffolding) if required.
- Valid driver's license.
