Job Description
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and passionate Remote Game Script Tester with a strong focus on narrative and text quality. In this vital role, you will be responsible for meticulously reviewing and evaluating game scripts, dialogue, in-game text, and lore for our diverse portfolio of titles. Your primary mission will be to ensure linguistic accuracy, narrative coherence, emotional impact, and overall player immersion. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail and a love for storytelling in video games to contribute to high-quality interactive experiences from anywhere.
Key Responsibilities
- Thoroughly review game scripts, dialogue, lore documents, UI text, and all in-game textual content for grammatical errors, typos, punctuation mistakes, and stylistic inconsistencies.
- Identify and report plot holes, narrative inconsistencies, character misrepresentations, and logical errors within the game's story and world-building.
- Test various dialogue trees and narrative branches to ensure smooth transitions, correct conditional logic, and appropriate emotional responses.
- Verify the cultural sensitivity, tone, and appropriateness of text for target audiences.
- Provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback and bug reports to narrative designers, writers, and localization teams using designated tracking software.
- Collaborate remotely with development teams to understand narrative goals and technical limitations.
- Stay updated on project lore and character backgrounds to maintain consistency across all textual assets.
- Participate in remote team meetings and communicate progress and findings effectively.
Required Skills
- Exceptional command of the English language, including grammar, spelling, punctuation, and syntax.
