Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous Housekeeper to join our dynamic team at Hilton Cardiff in the picturesque Cardiff Bay area. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the pristine condition of our guest rooms and public areas, ensuring a comfortable and memorable stay for all our guests. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to upholding our high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
- Clean and tidy all assigned guest rooms and public areas to the highest standards of cleanliness.
- Change bed linens, make beds, and replace towels.
- Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and dust all surfaces.
- Replenish amenities and guest supplies in rooms.
- Inspect rooms for damage, maintenance issues, or lost property and report findings promptly.
- Empty waste bins and dispose of trash appropriately.
- Handle guest requests and complaints courteously and efficiently.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Work collaboratively with other hotel departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and linen, reporting needs to management.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in housekeeping or a similar role, preferably within a hotel environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform duties requiring bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a luxury hotel setting.
- Ability to speak multiple languages.
- Familiarity with hotel operating systems.
