Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and reliable Nursery Potting Assistant to join our team in Geelong. This is a seated role, ideal for individuals of all ages looking for light, consistent work in a pleasant nursery environment. You will be responsible for assisting with the potting and preparation of plants, ensuring our nursery is well-stocked and visually appealing. No prior experience is necessary, as full training will be provided. We value attention to detail, a gentle touch with plants, and a positive attitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Carefully pot seedlings and young plants into larger containers.
- Ensure correct labeling of all potted plants with variety and care information.
- Assist with the organization and arrangement of plants within the nursery.
- Monitor plant health and report any issues to nursery staff.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the potting area.
- Participate in general nursery duties as required, primarily in a seated capacity.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform tasks accurately and with attention to detail.
- Reliable and punctual work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions effectively.
- Basic understanding or willingness to learn about plant care.
- Good manual dexterity.
