Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and passionate Architecture Style Classifier to join our innovative AI Design Support team. In this role, you will be instrumental in teaching our AI systems to understand, classify, and generate architectural styles. You will meticulously analyze vast datasets of architectural designs, identifying key features, historical contexts, and stylistic nuances to enrich our AI models. This position requires a strong foundation in architectural history and theory, combined with a keen interest in artificial intelligence and machine learning applications in design. You will work closely with AI engineers and product designers to refine our tools, ensuring our AI can accurately interpret and create designs that meet the high standards of our professional users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive classification schemes for various architectural styles, periods, and typologies.
  • Annotate and curate large datasets of architectural images and models, ensuring accuracy and consistency for AI training.
  • Collaborate with AI/ML engineers to translate architectural concepts into actionable data for model development.
  • Conduct quality assurance on AI-generated designs, providing critical feedback to improve stylistic coherence and accuracy.
  • Research emerging architectural trends and historical contexts to continuously update and expand our AI's knowledge base.
  • Contribute to the documentation of architectural style guidelines and AI classification methodologies.
  • Participate in cross-functional team meetings to discuss project progress, challenges, and solutions.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of architectural history, theory, and diverse global styles.
  • Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting architectural drawings, photographs, and 3D models.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with data annotation tools and processes.
  • Basic understanding of machine learning concepts and data classification principles.
  • Ability to articulate complex architectural ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural History, Art History, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in Architecture, Architectural History, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) or 3D modeling tools.
  • Prior experience in data science, AI, or a research role involving large datasets.
  • Experience working in an agile development environment.
  • Programming skills in Python or similar languages for data manipulation.
