Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Plastic Surgery Nurse to join our exclusive private boutique clinic. In this pivotal role, you will work closely with our board-certified plastic surgeons, providing comprehensive pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care to patients undergoing a variety of cosmetic and reconstructive procedures. This position requires a nurse who is not only clinically adept but also possesses excellent interpersonal skills, a keen eye for aesthetics, and a commitment to patient satisfaction. You will be an integral part of our team, ensuring a seamless and supportive experience for all our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist plastic surgeons during in-office procedures and minor surgeries, maintaining sterility and ensuring patient comfort.
- Provide thorough pre-operative consultations, educating patients on procedures, expected outcomes, and recovery protocols.
- Manage post-operative care, including wound care, drain management, suture removal, and monitoring for complications.
- Administer injectables (e.g., Botox, dermal fillers) and perform other non-surgical aesthetic treatments as credentialed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with all medical and privacy regulations.
- Educate patients on skincare regimes and product recommendations relevant to their treatment plans.
- Ensure the clinic environment is well-stocked, clean, and organized, adhering to all health and safety standards.
- Provide compassionate and empathetic support to patients and their families throughout their treatment journey.
- Collaborate with other team members to optimize clinic flow and enhance the patient experience.
Required Skills
- Current RN license in Utah (or eligibility for licensure)
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in plastic surgery, dermatology, or a related aesthetic field.
- BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
- Proficiency in administering injectables and other non-surgical aesthetic treatments.
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique and infection control protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-first approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist (CANS) or Plastic Surgical Nursing Certification (CPSN) a plus.
- Experience with EMR systems specific to aesthetic practices.
- A passion for aesthetics and continuous learning in the field.
