Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and driven Community Engagement Specialist to join our remote team. This role is crucial for fostering vibrant, supportive, and active communities around Google products and initiatives. You will be responsible for building relationships, facilitating discussions, gathering feedback, and ensuring a positive and productive environment for our users. This is a 100% remote work-from-home position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to contribute from anywhere in the United States.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute community engagement strategies to increase participation and loyalty.
  • Monitor community platforms, respond to inquiries, and moderate discussions to maintain a positive atmosphere.
  • Identify community leaders and advocates, empowering them to amplify Google's messages.
  • Organize and facilitate online events, webinars, and discussions.
  • Collect, analyze, and report on community feedback, identifying trends and insights for product and marketing teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, marketing, and support to ensure consistent messaging and community support.
  • Create compelling content for community channels, including announcements, FAQs, and engagement prompts.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in community management.
  • Manage community guidelines and ensure adherence across all platforms.

Required Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in community management, social media management, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and nurture online communities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with various social media platforms and community management tools.
  • Ability to analyze data and provide actionable insights.
  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a remote environment.
  • Empathy and a user-centric approach.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Experience working with global communities.
  • Familiarity with Google products and services.
  • Experience with content creation for digital platforms (e.g., blogs, forums, video scripts).
  • Project management experience.
