Job Description
Are you a detail-oriented individual with excellent listening skills and a keen eye for grammar? Rev.com is seeking Independent Audio Transcribers to join our flexible, remote team. In this role, you will convert audio and video recordings into accurate text documents. You’ll have the autonomy to choose projects that align with your availability and interests, working on a diverse range of content from interviews and lectures to podcasts and film dailies. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe audio and video files into written text, ensuring high levels of precision and attention to detail.
- Identify speakers and tag non-speech elements such as pauses, laughter, or background noise where specified.
- Review and edit your own transcripts for grammatical errors, punctuation mistakes, and overall clarity.
- Adhere to client-specific guidelines and Rev.com's style guide for each project.
- Manage your workload by selecting projects from an available queue that fit your schedule and capacity.
- Maintain confidentiality of all client materials and sensitive information.
Required Skills
- Excellent command of the English language, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Exceptional listening skills and the ability to discern speech in various audio qualities.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Proficiency with word processing software and basic computer skills.
- Reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
