Job Description
Join the Target team as a Warehouse Associate and play a crucial role in our distribution network. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in logistics with a leading retail company. No prior experience is required – we provide comprehensive training to ensure your success. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to receiving, stocking, picking, and shipping merchandise within our fast-paced warehouse environment. We’re looking for motivated individuals who are ready to learn, work hard, and contribute to our team’s success. This is a full-time position with immediate start available.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and store incoming merchandise accurately and efficiently.
- Pick and pack orders according to established procedures and quality standards.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks (with training).
- Perform inventory counts and maintain accurate records.
- Prepare merchandise for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and packaging.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily productivity goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs.
- Basic communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to safety procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred, not strictly required).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting (not required, but a plus).
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Ability to operate a forklift or other heavy machinery (certification not required, training provided if needed).
