Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented E-commerce Platform Migration Assistant to join our team on a contract basis. This is a 100% remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to significant client projects from anywhere. You will play a crucial role in supporting the seamless transition of merchant stores from various e-commerce platforms to Shopify. This role requires excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a basic understanding of e-commerce operations. Immediate start is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with data migration tasks, including product catalogs, customer information, and order histories.
- Support the configuration of new Shopify stores based on client specifications.
- Conduct quality assurance checks on migrated data and store setups to ensure accuracy and functionality.
- Document migration processes, challenges, and solutions.
- Communicate effectively with project managers and other team members regarding migration progress and issues.
- Troubleshoot minor migration-related issues under supervision.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of client data and project details.
Required Skills
- Familiarity with at least one e-commerce platform (e.g., Magento, WooCommerce, BigCommerce).
- Proficiency in data entry and spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently in a remote environment.
- Reliable internet connection and a dedicated home office setup.
- Basic understanding of web technologies and online stores.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with Shopify platform is a significant advantage.
- Experience in a data migration or administrative support role.
- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS is a plus.
- Knowledge of project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello).
- A passion for e-commerce and helping businesses grow.
