Job Description

Starbucks in Boulder, Colorado is seeking a dedicated Quick Service Drink Specialist to join our energetic team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing a wide array of high-quality coffee and other beverages, ensuring every customer receives a perfect drink with a friendly smile. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, espresso, cold brew, tea, and other beverages following Starbucks recipes and quality standards.
  • Operate espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and other beverage equipment proficiently and safely.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including beverage stations, counters, and dining areas.
  • Engage with customers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and efficient manner, taking orders and handling transactions accurately.
  • Ensure all health and safety guidelines are strictly followed, including food handling and sanitation procedures.
  • Manage inventory of ingredients and supplies, notifying management of low stock levels.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues professionally, escalating when necessary.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment by assisting colleagues and maintaining open communication.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including cash handling and operational standards.

Required Skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Basic mathematical skills for cash handling and order processing.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Availability to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Passion for coffee and creating memorable customer experiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a coffee shop, quick-service restaurant, or similar customer service role.
  • Knowledge of espresso preparation and latte art techniques.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Food handler's permit (or ability to obtain one upon hiring).
