Job Description

Starbucks in Boulder, Colorado is seeking a dedicated Quick Service Drink Specialist to join our energetic team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing a wide array of high-quality coffee and other beverages, ensuring every customer receives a perfect drink with a friendly smile. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, espresso, cold brew, tea, and other beverages following Starbucks recipes and quality standards.
- Operate espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and other beverage equipment proficiently and safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including beverage stations, counters, and dining areas.
- Engage with customers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and efficient manner, taking orders and handling transactions accurately.
- Ensure all health and safety guidelines are strictly followed, including food handling and sanitation procedures.
- Manage inventory of ingredients and supplies, notifying management of low stock levels.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues professionally, escalating when necessary.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by assisting colleagues and maintaining open communication.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including cash handling and operational standards.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Basic mathematical skills for cash handling and order processing.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Availability to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Passion for coffee and creating memorable customer experiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a coffee shop, quick-service restaurant, or similar customer service role.
- Knowledge of espresso preparation and latte art techniques.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Food handler's permit (or ability to obtain one upon hiring).
