Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous Sash Window Painting Helper to join our team in Maidenhead. This role is ideal for someone with an excellent eye for detail and a willingness to learn the craft of heritage property maintenance. You will be responsible for assisting our experienced painters with a variety of small, detailed tasks essential for the high-quality restoration and painting of traditional sash windows. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop valuable skills in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare sash windows for painting, including meticulous cleaning, sanding, and minor filling of imperfections.
- Apply masking tape with precision to ensure clean lines and protect glass and surrounding areas.
- Assist with the careful removal and re-installation of window hardware when required.
- Support painters by fetching tools, materials, and maintaining a tidy work area.
- Perform initial coats of primer or undercoat under supervision.
- Clean and maintain brushes, rollers, and other painting equipment.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations on site.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
