Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and environmentally conscious individual for a part-time ‘Cardboard & Packaging Removal – Eco-Friendly Gig’ in the North End district of Boise, ID. This role is perfect for someone looking to contribute to local sustainability efforts by efficiently collecting and preparing cardboard and other packaging materials for recycling. You will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and promoting eco-friendly practices within our client sites. This is a hands-on position requiring physical stamina and attention to detail, ensuring materials are sorted correctly and handled responsibly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and consolidate cardboard and various packaging materials from designated areas.
  • Sort materials according to recycling guidelines, removing any non-recyclable contaminants.
  • Break down cardboard boxes and compact packaging as needed for efficient transport.
  • Load collected materials onto company vehicles or into designated recycling bins.
  • Transport materials to local recycling centers or transfer stations if required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
  • Report any issues with equipment, materials, or site access to supervisors promptly.
  • Adhere to all company policies and local environmental regulations.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout a shift.
  • Strong attention to detail for proper material sorting and contamination avoidance.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Commitment to environmental sustainability and eco-friendly practices.
  • Basic understanding of workplace safety procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience operating compaction equipment (e.g., balers) is a plus.
