Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team in Pomona. This is an immediate opening with a generous $2,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our pharmacists and ensuring the accurate and timely dispensing of medications to our patients. Your commitment to patient care and operational excellence will be vital in maintaining our high standards of service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications.
- Maintain accurate patient profiles and medication records.
- Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and rotating pharmaceutical supplies.
- Process prescription orders, including data entry and insurance billing.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing patient inquiries and concerns with professionalism.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kaiser Permanente policies and procedures.
- Perform routine pharmacy maintenance, including cleaning work areas and equipment.
- Assist with compounding medications as directed by the supervising pharmacist.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Current Pharmacy Technician License in California.
- Current Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) from PTCB or NHA.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail or hospital setting.
- Proficiency in pharmacy software systems and strong computer skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient privacy and confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree in a related field.
- Experience with Kaiser Permanente's specific pharmacy systems.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills.
