Job Description
We are seeking a enthusiastic and creative Junior Video Editor with a keen eye for engaging content tailored for YouTube and TikTok. This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring editor to kickstart their career within a dynamic and fast-paced travel brand. You will be instrumental in bringing our brand’s stories to life, working closely with our marketing and content teams to produce high-quality, thumb-stopping video content that resonates with our audience and drives engagement across our key social media channels. Key Responsibilities
- Edit raw video footage into polished, engaging content primarily for YouTube and TikTok platforms.
- Develop and maintain a consistent visual style aligned with Jet2.com and Jet2holidays' brand guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with the social media, marketing, and content teams to understand project requirements and deliver on creative briefs.
- Incorporate motion graphics, text overlays, sound effects, and music to enhance video quality and impact.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest video editing software, trends, and best practices on YouTube and TikTok.
- Manage and organize video assets, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to deadlines.
- Provide creative input and suggestions to elevate video concepts and storytelling.
- Assist with video shoots as needed, including setup and basic camera operation.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
- Basic understanding of Adobe After Effects for motion graphics.
- Familiarity with the technical requirements and best practices for video content on YouTube and TikTok.
- Strong sense of pacing, rhythm, and storytelling in video.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- A portfolio or showreel demonstrating video editing capabilities, even if from personal projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Film Production, Media Studies, Digital Arts, or a related field.
- Experience creating content for personal or professional YouTube channels or TikTok accounts.
- Basic understanding of color grading and audio mixing principles.
- Knowledge of photography and videography fundamentals.
- A passion for travel and leisure.
