Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and format legal documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and emails.
  • Conduct basic legal research under supervision.
  • Perform general office duties such as photocopying, scanning, and data entry.
  • Learn and apply notary best practices and relevant legal procedures.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in French and English (bilingualism is a significant asset in Quebec).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to learn new software and legal procedures quickly.
  • A strong work ethic and a desire to learn and grow within the legal profession.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous administrative or office support experience (even non-legal).
