Job Description

We are actively seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Rapid Response Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic urgent care team in Henderson, Nevada. This is an immediate hire opportunity for a dedicated professional capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment where quick assessment, critical thinking, and decisive action are paramount. The Rapid Response RN will be responsible for providing immediate, high-quality nursing care to patients presenting with various acute illnesses and injuries, ensuring efficient patient flow and exceptional outcomes. This role demands excellent clinical judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform rapid and comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history, and chief complaint.
  • Administer medications, vaccinations, and other treatments as prescribed by medical providers.
  • Initiate and manage IV access, wound care, splinting, and other urgent care procedures.
  • Monitor patient conditions and respond effectively to emergent changes or deterioration.
  • Assist providers with minor procedures, examinations, and diagnostic tests.
  • Educate patients and families on post-treatment care, medication administration, and health maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed electronic health records (EHRs).
  • Ensure adherence to all clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with physicians, PAs, MAs, and other healthcare staff to optimize patient care and clinic efficiency.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple patient needs in a high-volume urgent care setting.

Required Skills

  • Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Nevada.
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience, preferably in an urgent care, emergency room, or critical care setting.
  • Proficiency in rapid patient assessment and triage.
  • Excellent IV insertion and phlebotomy skills.
  • Strong knowledge of urgent care medications and protocols.
  • Ability to perform basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) if required.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to make quick, sound clinical decisions under pressure.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • High degree of adaptability and resilience in a dynamic work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
  • Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
  • Experience with occupational health services.
  • Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish) is a plus.
