Job Description

Join XPO Logistics as a Tractor Trailer Operator specializing in regional routes out of our Philadelphia hub. We are seeking dedicated and professional drivers to transport freight safely and efficiently across specified regional territories. Key Responsibilities

  • Operate tractor-trailer combinations safely and efficiently on regional routes.
  • Transport goods according to scheduled routes and timeframes, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment, reporting any defects or needed repairs.
  • Safely load and unload freight as required, ensuring proper securement.
  • Maintain accurate logbooks and submit all required paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and best practices, including DOT regulations.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the assigned vehicle.

Required Skills

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A).
  • Minimum of 2 years (24 months) of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
  • Clean driving record (MVR) with no serious traffic violations.
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
  • Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to operate electronic logging devices (ELDs).
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the job, including lifting and maneuvering freight.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with refrigerated or specialized freight.
  • Familiarity with regional routes in the Pennsylvania/New Jersey/Delaware area.
  • High school diploma or GED.
