Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Executive Housekeeper to lead our vibrant housekeeping team at our Huddersfield location. This pivotal role ensures the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and guest satisfaction across all hotel areas. The successful candidate will be a meticulous leader with a keen eye for detail, passionate about maintaining a pristine environment, and skilled in team management. This position offers sponsorship support for eligible international candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all daily housekeeping operations, ensuring consistent delivery of exceptional cleanliness and order.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of housekeeping staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Develop and implement robust cleaning schedules, procedures, and standards for all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure all areas meet the hotel's stringent quality and hygiene benchmarks.
- Manage inventory and ordering of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities, adhering to budget guidelines.
- Collaborate with other departments (Front Office, Maintenance) to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
- Handle guest requests and complaints efficiently and professionally, ensuring prompt resolution.
- Implement and monitor health and safety protocols, including COSHH regulations, to ensure a safe working environment.
- Prepare departmental budgets, manage expenses, and generate performance reports.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
Required Skills
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in housekeeping management within a luxury hotel or similar high-volume environment.
- Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and develop staff.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining impeccable standards of cleanliness.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in housekeeping management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene regulations (e.g., COSHH).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent vocational qualification in Hospitality Management or a related field.
- Experience with international teams and multicultural environments.
- First Aid certification.
