Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Night Porter to join our team at Ramada by Wyndham Abbotsford. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in hospitality, as full training will be provided. As a Night Porter, you will be crucial to ensuring the safety, security, and comfort of our guests during the overnight hours. You will handle guest inquiries, perform security checks, assist with minor guest issues, and ensure the hotel premises are maintained to our high standards. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular security patrols of the hotel premises, including guest floors and public areas.
- Monitor CCTV systems and respond to any unusual activity or incidents.
- Assist guests with late check-ins and early check-outs, ensuring a smooth process.
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Prepare the lobby and common areas for the morning shift.
- Set up or clear breakfast areas as required.
- Perform basic administrative tasks, including report logging and data entry.
- Respond to emergency situations according to hotel procedures, including fire alarms and medical emergencies.
- Ensure all hotel policies and procedures are followed during the night shift.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the reception and lobby areas.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service role is an asset (but not required as full training is provided).
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Knowledge of local area attractions and services.
