Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Pharmacy Data Entry Clerk to join our remote team. This is a crucial role for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of patient and prescription data within our systems. The ideal candidate will be adept at high-volume data entry, possess excellent organizational skills, and maintain strict confidentiality. This position is 100% remote and involves no phone interaction, allowing you to focus purely on data accuracy and processing.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately enter prescription information, patient demographics, and other relevant data into pharmacy management systems.
- Verify data integrity by comparing entered data to source documents.
- Identify and correct data discrepancies and errors efficiently.
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient and proprietary information.
- Adhere to all regulatory compliance standards and company policies.
- Assist with data archiving and retrieval tasks as needed.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure data consistency and accuracy.
- Process and update patient medication records with precision.
Required Skills
- Proven experience with data entry, preferably in a healthcare or pharmacy setting.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Strong typing speed and data processing skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Understanding of data confidentiality regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree or higher preferred.
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or equivalent.
- Familiarity with pharmacy management software (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Experience with medical terminology.
