Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Float Pool Nurse to join our dynamic team at AdventHealth Wesley Chapel. Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients across multiple hospital units, adapting to varying patient populations and acuity levels.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and implement nursing interventions in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Administer medications safely and accurately, monitor patient responses, and document all care provided in the electronic health record.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, other nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
• Respond to emergencies, stabilize patients, and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe patient care environment.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and adhere to all regulatory standards.

Required Skills

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience in a hospital setting.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to diverse team dynamics.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
• Specialty certification (e.g., CCRN, PCCN, CEN).
• Experience in at least two different acute care specialties (e.g., Med-Surg and Telemetry, or Telemetry and ER).
• Demonstrated ability to float effectively and quickly adapt to new environments and patient assignments.
