Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Inventory Shuttle Driver for short-haul warehouse runs. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods and materials between our local warehouses and distribution centers. This position requires careful handling of inventory, adherence to delivery schedules, and maintaining accurate logs. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles (vans, box trucks, or smaller commercial vehicles) for short-haul routes between local warehouse facilities.
- Load and unload inventory, ensuring items are secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Verify accuracy of inventory against manifests and delivery schedules before and after each run.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, dispatch, and management regarding delivery status and potential delays.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed during downtime, including inventory organization or material handling.
- Ensure cleanliness and basic maintenance of the assigned company vehicle.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail for inventory verification.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety checks.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience operating forklifts or other warehouse equipment (certification preferred).
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Previous experience in a logistics or warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of local routes and traffic patterns in Henderson, NV.
