Job Description
As a Remote Freight Broker Agent with C.H. Robinson, you will play a crucial role in connecting shippers with carriers to facilitate the efficient transportation of goods. This is a dynamic, work-from-home opportunity for a self-starter with a passion for logistics and sales. You will be responsible for managing your own book of business, negotiating rates, building strong relationships, and ensuring seamless freight movement from origin to destination. Leveraging C.H. Robinson’s extensive network and cutting-edge technology, you will identify solutions, solve complex logistics challenges, and contribute to the success of both our clients and our company. This position requires strong communication skills, a proactive approach, and a commitment to providing exceptional service, all while working remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a portfolio of carrier and shipper relationships.
- Negotiate freight rates and service agreements with both shippers and carriers.
- Match available freight with qualified carriers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Proactively identify new business opportunities and grow your client base.
- Monitor freight movements and provide real-time updates to clients.
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise during transit.
- Utilize C.H. Robinson's proprietary technology to manage loads, bids, and communications.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all transportation regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimize service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in sales, customer service, or logistics.
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general computer skills.

- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a freight broker or dispatcher.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Established book of business or network of carriers/shippers.
- Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS).
- Understanding of freight market dynamics and industry regulations.
