Job Description
We are urgently seeking a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher / Kitchen Steward to join our culinary team for immediate start. This essential role is critical to maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen operations, ensuring our culinary staff can deliver exceptional dining experiences to our guests. Key Responsibilities
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, silverware, glassware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area, kitchen, and food storage areas.
- Assist in the proper storage of cleaned dishes and equipment.
- Remove trash and recycling from the kitchen, ensuring proper disposal.
- Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks as needed.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation standards and regulations.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Assist with inventory and stocking duties as required.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Basic understanding of kitchen sanitation procedures.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Availability for flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dishwashing or kitchen support role, preferably in a hotel or restaurant setting.
- Knowledge of safe food handling practices.
- Food Handler certification.
