Job Description
Are you passionate about English and enjoy connecting with people from diverse backgrounds? Babbel is looking for enthusiastic Virtual English Conversational Partners to join our remote team. This is a unique opportunity to help our learners practice and improve their English speaking skills in a friendly, low-pressure online environment. No teaching degree or prior experience is required – just a strong command of English and a desire to engage in meaningful conversations. You will facilitate engaging discussions, provide gentle corrections, and offer encouragement to our global community of language learners. This is a 100% remote position, offering flexible hours to fit your schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in one-on-one virtual English conversations with Babbel learners via our online platform.
- Facilitate natural and engaging discussions on various topics, encouraging learners to speak freely.
- Provide constructive feedback on pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary in a supportive manner.
- Adapt conversation topics and pace to suit the learner's proficiency level and interests.
- Maintain a positive, patient, and encouraging attitude during all interactions.
- Adhere to scheduling commitments and ensure timely communication with learners.
- Contribute to a positive and engaging learning experience for all Babbel users.
Required Skills
- Fluent spoken and written English (native or near-native proficiency).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to listen actively and respond thoughtfully.
