Job Description

Aspen Dental in New Port Richey, FL, is seeking a motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Weekend Dental Assistant for a Part-time Training program. This entry-level position is perfect for someone with no prior experience who is eager to learn, grow, and contribute to providing exceptional patient care. You will receive comprehensive, hands-on training to develop the essential skills needed to become a successful dental assistant. This role focuses on supporting our dental team during weekend hours, offering flexibility and a clear path for professional development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists and hygienists during various dental procedures.
  • Prepare treatment rooms, ensuring all instruments and materials are ready for use.
  • Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment according to OSHA guidelines.
  • Provide chairside assistance, anticipating the needs of the dentist.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and assist with patient flow.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
  • Ensure patient comfort throughout their visit.
  • Support front office staff with administrative tasks as needed.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable and punctual, especially for weekend shifts.
  • Basic computer proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPR certification (can be obtained post-hire).
