Job Description
Occasions by Design is seeking exceptionally talented and reliable Wedding Musicians to join our network of elite professionals. This is an exciting opportunity for musicians passionate about contributing to memorable wedding experiences on weekends, with a high daily compensation rate. We are looking for individuals who can provide outstanding live musical performances, creating an elegant and joyful atmosphere for our discerning clientele across various wedding ceremonies and receptions in the Albuquerque area. You will work closely with our event coordinators to understand the vision for each event and deliver a performance that exceeds expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform live musical selections as agreed upon for wedding ceremonies, cocktail hours, and receptions.
- Collaborate with event planners and clients to customize musical programs that align with their preferences and wedding themes.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all events, representing Occasions by Design with excellence.
- Ensure timely arrival, setup, and teardown of musical equipment.
- Communicate effectively with clients and event staff regarding logistical details and special requests.
- Possess a versatile repertoire suitable for a wide range of wedding styles and cultural backgrounds.
Required Skills
- Exceptional musical talent and proficiency in chosen instrument(s) or vocals.
- Proven experience performing live music in professional settings.
- Strong repertoire adaptable to various wedding styles (classical, contemporary, jazz, etc.).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability and punctuality for all scheduled events.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a larger event team.
- Own reliable transportation and necessary musical equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience specifically as a wedding musician.
- Ability to play multiple instruments or perform diverse vocal styles.
- Established professional network within the wedding or music industry.
- Formal music education or equivalent professional training.
