Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Entry-Level Facility Worker to join our FedEx Ground team in Tucson, Arizona. This position is ideal for individuals looking to start a career in logistics and who are committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment. As a Facility Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our ground facility by performing essential cleaning and organizational tasks, contributing directly to our operational excellence and safety standards. No prior experience is required; we provide all necessary training.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility, including sorting areas, break rooms, restrooms, and offices.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors regularly.
- Empty trash receptacles and manage waste disposal.
- Clean and sanitize surfaces, equipment, and workstations.
- Organize supplies, tools, and equipment efficiently.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with other general labor tasks as needed to support facility operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Basic communication skills.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a general labor or cleaning role (even if informal).
