Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fleet Logistics Specialist with a strong focus on autonomous technology to join our innovative team in Winter Park, Florida. This pivotal role involves managing and optimizing our fleet operations, with a particular emphasis on integrating, deploying, and maintaining autonomous vehicles and systems. You will play a key part in a strategic initiative, potentially supporting major e-commerce partners like Pinterest, by ensuring seamless and efficient autonomous logistics solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of both traditional fleet management and emerging autonomous vehicle technologies, coupled with a passion for driving operational excellence and technological advancement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize daily fleet operations, specifically focusing on autonomous vehicle deployment and performance.
- Oversee the integration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of autonomous logistics technology and hardware.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, R&D, and operations teams to enhance autonomous system capabilities and reliability.
- Develop and implement robust safety protocols, operational guidelines, and compliance procedures for autonomous fleet activities.
- Analyze fleet data, performance metrics, and sensor inputs to identify areas for efficiency improvements, cost reduction, and operational enhancements.
- Provide expert technical support and guidance for autonomous vehicle systems, resolving complex issues efficiently.
- Liaise with external technology partners and internal stakeholders, including potential clients like Pinterest, to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
- Monitor industry trends and advancements in autonomous technology and logistics to recommend innovative solutions.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (4+ years) in fleet management, logistics operations, or supply chain management.
- Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of autonomous vehicle technology, robotics, or advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and fleet management software platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a meticulous attention to detail.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and safety standards applicable to autonomous vehicles.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field such as Systems Engineering, Robotics, or Business Administration.
- Direct experience with specific autonomous vehicle platforms, simulation tools, or sensor technologies.
- Certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) or lean logistics methodologies.
