Job Description

CertaPro Painters of Edmonton is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accent Wall Paint Helper to join our dynamic team. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in painting, specifically supporting the creation of intricate and precise accent walls. You will work alongside experienced painters, assisting with preparation, application, and clean-up, playing a crucial role in delivering high-quality finishes. Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead painters with surface preparation, including cleaning, patching, sanding, and taping walls.
- Prepare work areas by moving furniture, laying drop cloths, and masking off adjacent surfaces.
- Help in mixing paints and preparing equipment for various painting tasks.
- Support skilled painters during the application process, including cutting in and rolling as directed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the job site, tools, and equipment.
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Perform general labor duties as needed to support project completion.
Required Skills
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions effectively.
- Basic understanding of hand tools or a strong willingness to learn.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
- Strong team player with a positive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in painting, construction, or a related trade (even if minimal).
