As a Trainee Chef, you will be immersed in a fast-paced professional kitchen environment, learning every aspect of food preparation and service. This paid apprenticeship offers hands-on experience, structured training, and mentorship to help you master the culinary arts. You’ll gain practical skills in various cooking techniques, food safety, inventory management, and kitchen operations, all while contributing to the creation of delicious dishes for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior chefs with food preparation, including washing, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
- Learn and apply various cooking methods such as grilling, frying, baking, and roasting under supervision.
- Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness and organization, following all food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Monitor and manage stock levels, ensuring proper storage and rotation of ingredients.
- Support the kitchen team during service, ensuring timely and accurate dish delivery.
- Learn to prepare and plate dishes according to recipe specifications and presentation standards.
- Participate in daily kitchen briefings and contribute positively to team communication.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines within the kitchen environment.
- Demonstrate a continuous willingness to learn and develop culinary skills.
