Job Description
Join Amazon as a Warehouse Associate and play a pivotal role in our fast-paced fulfillment network. This is a 100% direct hire position, offering immediate benefits and career growth opportunities. You will be responsible for a range of tasks that support the entire logistics process, from receiving and storing products to picking, packing, and shipping customer orders. Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process new inventory, verifying contents against shipping invoices and maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Efficiently pick and pack customer orders according to established procedures and quality standards.
- Load and unload trucks and containers, moving products within the warehouse using various equipment.
- Operate powered industrial trucks (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) after receiving proper training and certification.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety protocols and guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily production goals and contribute to overall operational success.
- Perform routine quality checks on products and packaging to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 49 lbs (with or without reasonable accommodation).
- Capability to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach for extended periods during shifts.
- Comfortable working in diverse warehouse environments with varying temperatures and noise levels.
- Basic computer navigation and scanning device operation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks.
- Reliable and punctual, with a commitment to consistent attendance.
- Must be at least 18 years old to comply with safety regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing setting.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively within a team structure.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as business needs require.
- Experience with inventory management systems or handheld scanners.
