Job Description
Join Onfido as a Virtual Document Verifier and play a crucial role in safeguarding online identities. This is a fully remote position, offering comprehensive training to equip you with the skills needed to meticulously examine identity documents (passports, ID cards, driving licenses) from around the world. You will be responsible for identifying discrepancies, potential fraud, and ensuring the authenticity of documents, contributing directly to our mission of building a more trusted online world. No prior experience in document verification is required; we provide all the necessary tools and knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough virtual examinations of various identity documents (passports, national ID cards, driving licenses) using proprietary software and tools.
- Identify and report suspicious documents, potential fraud indicators, and non-compliance with verification standards.
- Maintain high accuracy and efficiency in document processing while adhering to strict security protocols.
- Collaborate with team members and escalate complex cases to senior verifiers as needed.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay updated on new document types and fraud trends.
- Provide clear and concise feedback on document validity.
- Adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements regarding data privacy and identity verification.
