Job Description
We are seeking an exceptional Apple Interface Designer to join our innovative team in Cheltenham. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and delivering intuitive and visually stunning user interfaces specifically for Apple’s ecosystem, covering both mobile (iOS, iPadOS, watchOS) and desktop (macOS) platforms. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to translate complex requirements into elegant, user-centric designs that adhere to Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines while pushing the boundaries of creativity and usability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and iterate on user interfaces for a variety of Apple platforms, including iOS, iPadOS, watchOS, and macOS.
- Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and sitemaps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
- Develop high-fidelity mockups and prototypes to present design concepts and gather feedback.
- Collaborate with product teams to understand user needs, business requirements, and technical constraints.
- Ensure all designs are consistent with Apple's Human Interface Guidelines and brand standards.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to validate design decisions and identify areas for improvement.
- Work closely with development teams to ensure design fidelity during implementation.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest UI/UX trends, tools, and Apple platform advancements.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in UI design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Strong portfolio showcasing exceptional UI design skills for Apple platforms (iOS, macOS).
- Deep understanding of Apple's Human Interface Guidelines.
- Experience with user-centered design principles and methodologies.
- Excellent visual design skills with a keen eye for typography, color, and layout.
- Ability to create high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Interaction Design, Graphic Design, HCI, or a related field.
- Experience with animation or motion design for user interfaces.
- Familiarity with front-end development (e.g., Swift/SwiftUI, Objective-C, HTML/CSS) to understand technical feasibility.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards for digital products.
