Job Description
Are you looking for an immediate opportunity to start working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment? Amazon in Antioch is hiring Warehouse Sorters to join our team. No prior experience is needed, and you don’t even need a resume to apply! We offer comprehensive training, competitive pay, and a supportive work environment. As a Warehouse Sorter, you will be responsible for accurately receiving, sorting, and dispatching packages and products within our state-of-the-art fulfillment center. This is a crucial role that helps ensure our customers receive their orders on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and unload incoming inventory, verifying counts and inspecting for damage.
- Sort packages and products into designated areas based on destination or product type.
- Operate manual and powered equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks) as needed, after training.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or issues with inventory or equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily productivity and quality goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift up to 49 pounds regularly, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts.
- Basic comprehension and communication skills.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or fulfillment setting (not required but a plus).
- Familiarity with inventory management systems (we will train you).
- Strong attention to detail.
