Job Description

As a Trainee Tech Support Advisor, you will embark on a comprehensive training program designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills to assist customers with their technology needs. You will work directly with customers in our Rochester, NY store, diagnosing issues, providing solutions, and ensuring a positive experience. This role focuses on hands-on learning, problem-solving, and developing strong communication skills within a fast-paced retail setting. No prior experience is needed, as full gadget training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate actively in all training modules, learning about various electronic devices, software, and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Greet customers warmly and identify their tech support needs effectively.
  • Provide basic diagnostic assistance and solutions for common tech issues under supervision.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior advisors or technicians as needed.
  • Educate customers on product features, services, and best practices for their gadgets.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming in-store service area.
  • Adhere to Best Buy's customer service standards and operational procedures.
