Key Responsibilities

  • Safely transport patients, medical records, and equipment between various departments.
  • Assist clinical staff with moving patients to and from beds, trolleys, and wheelchairs.
  • Collect and deliver medical supplies, specimens, and linen throughout the hospital.
  • Ensure timely movement of urgent items and respond promptly to requests.
  • Maintain cleanliness and good order of trolleys and other portering equipment.
  • Adhere strictly to all health and safety, infection control, and patient confidentiality policies.
  • Communicate effectively and empathetically with patients, visitors, and staff members.
  • Undertake assigned training modules and complete all apprenticeship requirements.
