Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Aviation Safety Inspectors with pre-inspection preparation and post-inspection documentation.
  • Organize and maintain inspection records, reports, and databases.
  • Conduct research on aviation regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Support the analysis of aviation safety data and trends.
  • Prepare preliminary drafts of reports, correspondence, and technical documents.
  • Participate in on-site inspections of aircraft, facilities, and organizations as directed.
  • Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders under supervision.
  • Complete mandatory training and development programs to enhance technical knowledge and skills.

Required Skills

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French (bilingualism preferred for Quebec).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to learn and interpret complex regulations and technical information.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Canadian citizenship or permanent residency.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in aviation, engineering, a technical field, or public administration.
  • Basic knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs).
  • Previous experience in an administrative or support role, especially within a technical or regulatory environment.
  • Familiarity with aviation terminology and concepts.
