Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Courier Assistant for a ride-along role, supporting our experienced couriers in delivering packages efficiently and safely within Vaughan. This is an excellent entry point into the logistics industry, perfect for individuals who are reliable, possess a strong work ethic, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, outdoor environment. You will be an integral part of our delivery process, helping to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist couriers with loading and unloading packages from delivery vehicles.
- Navigate routes and deliver packages to residential and commercial addresses within specified timeframes.
- Verify package information against delivery manifests and obtain signatures when required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with couriers, dispatch, and customers.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Provide excellent customer service during interactions.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 70 lbs repeatedly.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to attendance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a physical labor or customer service role.
- Familiarity with Vaughan city streets and surrounding areas.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
