Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Knowledge Graph Associate with a strong data focus to join our remote team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing, maintaining, and enhancing our knowledge graphs, which serve as foundational data structures for various AI and data intelligence initiatives. You will work with diverse datasets, ensuring data quality, consistency, and interoperability to support complex analytical and operational needs. This is a 100% remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to collaborate with a global team.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain knowledge graph schemas, ontologies, and vocabularies.
- Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to populate knowledge graphs from various structured and unstructured data sources.
- Implement and enforce data quality standards and validation rules to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the knowledge graph.
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to understand requirements and translate them into effective knowledge graph solutions.
- Develop and execute queries (e.g., SPARQL, Cypher) to retrieve and analyze data from the knowledge graph.
- Document data models, schemas, and processes for maintainability and knowledge sharing.
- Identify and resolve data discrepancies and inconsistencies within the knowledge graph.
- Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies in knowledge graphs, semantic web, and data management.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.
- 2+ years of experience working with data analysis, data modeling, or data curation.
- Understanding of knowledge graph concepts, graph databases (e.g., Neo4j, Amazon Neptune, ArangoDB), or semantic web technologies (RDF, RDFS, OWL).
- Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and querying.
- Experience with at least one scripting language (e.g., Python) for data processing and automation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data services.
- Familiarity with ontology engineering tools or frameworks.
- Experience in a remote working environment.
- Understanding of machine learning concepts and their application to knowledge graphs.
