Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive IT Systems Admin to join our internal corporate support team in Salinas, CA. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of our internal IT infrastructure, providing timely technical assistance to employees, and maintaining system security and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IT systems, networking, and user support, with a commitment to excellent service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first and second-level technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and peripherals.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights across various platforms.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Implement and enforce IT security policies and best practices.
  • Document IT procedures, incidents, and resolutions for knowledge management.
  • Participate in IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new technology implementations.
  • Conduct regular backups and ensure data integrity and recovery capabilities.
  • Educate users on IT best practices and system usage.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex technical problems.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as an IT Systems Administrator or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and network troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy management.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certification (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) frameworks (e.g., ITIL).
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
  • Prior experience in a BPO or call center environment.
