Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled IT Systems Administrator to join our internal corporate support team. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient operation, maintenance, and support of our internal IT infrastructure, ensuring our employees have the reliable tools and systems they need to succeed. This position requires strong technical proficiency, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing excellent internal customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues for internal employees.
- Administer and maintain Windows servers, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Manage and monitor network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, firewalls, and VPN connections.
- Install, configure, and update workstations, laptops, and peripheral devices.
- Implement and enforce IT security policies and best practices.
- Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery planning.
- Document IT procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
- Collaborate with other IT team members on projects and initiatives.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes related to IT access and equipment.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in IT Systems Administration or a similar role.
- Proficiency with Windows Server operating systems (2016, 2019, 2022).
- Strong experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams).
- Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, Wi-Fi).
- Experience with hardware troubleshooting and repair.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, MCSA, or MCSE.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Knowledge of ITIL frameworks.
- Experience with scripting (PowerShell) for automation.
- Prior experience in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
