Job Description
Walgreens is seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technicians to join our team in Coral Gables, FL. We are offering immediate vacancies with flexible part-time and full-time shifts to accommodate various schedules. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our pharmacists and ensuring the efficient and accurate delivery of pharmaceutical care to our valued customers. Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
- Receive and process prescription orders, including data entry and insurance verification.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, stocking, and returning medications.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy workstation.
- Provide exceptional customer service, answering patient questions, and resolving issues.
- Operate cash register and handle financial transactions.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local laws and company policies regarding pharmacy practice.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification (or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Proficiency with computer systems and data entry.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail setting.
- Knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations.
- Familiarity with pharmacy management software.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (advantageous in Miami area).
