Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Export Warehouse Packer to join our team in Wesley Chapel, Florida. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for preparing goods for international shipment, ensuring all packing, labeling, and documentation adhere strictly to international standards and regulatory requirements. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, a strong understanding of warehouse operations, and a commitment to quality and efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pack, label, and prepare a variety of goods for international export in accordance with specific customer orders and international shipping regulations.
- Inspect outgoing shipments for proper packaging, labeling, and documentation to prevent customs delays or damage during transit.
- Operate various warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and efficient manner (certification provided if necessary).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Complete and verify all necessary shipping documentation, including packing lists, commercial invoices, and customs declarations.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and other team members to optimize packing processes and ensure timely dispatch of goods.
- Perform quality checks on products prior to packing to ensure integrity and compliance with export specifications.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving, sorting, and storing goods as needed.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or quality issues to the appropriate supervisor immediately.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, preferably with packing or shipping responsibilities.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow detailed packing instructions and international shipping guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and documentation.
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Familiarity with safety procedures in a warehouse setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with international shipping documentation and customs procedures.
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain one.
- Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
