Job Description
As a Systems Analytics Associate at IBM, you will play a crucial role in analyzing system performance, identifying trends, and providing data-driven insights to improve our products and services. You will work extensively with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, leveraging tools like BigQuery, Looker Studio, and Google Sheets to extract, transform, and visualize data. This is an entry-level position designed to train and develop future analytics professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from various sources using Google BigQuery and other Google Tech Stack tools.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Looker Studio (formerly Google Data Studio) to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in system performance data to inform strategic decisions.
- Assist in the design and implementation of data models and data pipelines within Google Cloud Platform.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.
- Document analytical processes, methodologies, and findings.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Google Cloud technologies and data analytics best practices.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Familiarity with the Google Tech Stack, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI).
- Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or R for data analysis.
- Understanding of statistical concepts and their application in data analysis.
- Internship or project experience related to data analytics or systems analysis.
