Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Online Chat Support Specialist to join our team, focusing exclusively on providing assistance and guidance to 14-year-old teens across our platforms. This role is 100% remote and emphasizes text-based communication, ensuring a comfortable and accessible support channel without any phone calls. You will be instrumental in fostering a safe and positive online environment for our younger users, addressing their inquiries, concerns, and technical issues with patience and clarity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt, accurate, and empathetic chat-based support to 14-year-old teens regarding account issues, platform features, safety concerns, and general inquiries.
  • Utilize internal tools and knowledge bases to troubleshoot and resolve user problems efficiently.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior support staff or specialized teams when necessary.
  • Document all interactions and resolutions clearly and concisely within our CRM system.
  • Adhere strictly to company policies, safety guidelines, and privacy regulations.
  • Collaborate with content moderation and safety teams to identify and report potential risks or policy violations.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with product updates and support best practices.

Required Skills

  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrated empathy and patience, particularly when interacting with young users.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using online chat platforms and customer support software.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage time effectively.
  • Understanding of online safety principles and responsible digital citizenship.
  • Fluency in English (US English).

  • Previous experience in online chat support, community management, or a similar role.
